CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
January 28, 2025
1. CALL TO ORDER
Acting Mayor Braid called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were Councilors Churchill, Lake
and Hellier. Absent: Briggs. Also in attendance was City Manager Wedel, Community Development
Director McCabe, Police Chief Duggan, Fire Chief Steinhaus, Attorney Kendall and City Clerk
Simon.
2. PUBLIC FORUM
None.
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
City Manager Wedel requested that item 5C will need to be removed from the consent agenda
as staff needs to work on this item.

Braid: Thank you to the SMSC for the donation of $300,000 for their contributed partnership with
the city. Would also like to thank Representative Craig, Senator Klobuchar, and Senator Smith for
nearly 200,000 dollars of allegation for the HWY 13 trail segments and look forward to the continued
partnership to get that trail extended.
