RESOLUTION 25-047 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ORDERING OF PD ADMIN UNIT (7135) Motion By: Lake Second By: Hellier WHEREAS, the 2026 Equipment CIP includes $52,000 for the replacement of PD Admin
Unit (7135); and WHEREAS, the Admin unit is used for miscellaneous, non-patrol purposes such as travel to/from meetings, delivering or picking up supplies, etc.; and WHEREAS, there is a Ford Explorer available at 2025 pricing due to an ordering error by the vendor; and WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined there is sufficient funding in the Revolving Equipment Fund to purchase this vehicle at this time to save money before expected increases in 2026.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The Mayor and City Manager hereby authorize staff to order PD Admin Unit (7135) as
recommended in the report.
3. Funding for this vehicle is included in the 2026 Equipment CIP but will be purchased early to take advantage of 2025 pricing and availability. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 8th day of April 2025. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier
