RESOLUTION 25-049 A RESOLUTION RATIFYING A CONTRACT WITH THE MORRIS LEATHERMAN COMPANY TO CONDUCT A COMMUNITY SURVEY ABOUT THE PARKS FUNDING PLAN Motion By: Lake Second By: Hellier
WHEREAS, the City of Prior Lake is committed to understanding the needs and priorities of its residents as it relates to park funding; and WHEREAS, conducting a comprehensive community survey will provide valuable data to inform strategic priorities for the parks funding plan; and WHEREAS, the city has determined that The Morris Leatherman Company is a reputable and reliable research firm; and WHEREAS, the contract amount of $22,000 is within the City’s allocated budget for this initiative and has been reviewed and recommended for approval by staff; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the ratification of this contract is in the best interest of the residents and will facilitate data-driven decision-making to enhance city
services and community well-being. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The contract with The Morris Leatherman Company in the amount of $22,000 for conducting a community survey is hereby ratified.
3. The City Manager, or their designee, is authorized to execute the contract and any necessary amendments thereto, provided that such amendments do not exceed the approved budget.
4. The survey implementation will be overseen by Public Works staff and results will be presented to the City Council and made available to the public. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 8th day of April 2025. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier
