A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR TH 13 TRAIL SEGMENT 1 (2025-02)

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 24-052 adopted on May 14, 2024, the City’s consultant, WSB LLC has prepared plans and specifications for TH 13 Trail Segment 1 (2025-02); and

WHEREAS,
the plans and specifications have been reviewed by city staff and are one file with the City Engineer; and
staff recommend approving the plans and specifications and authorizing the advertisement for bids to be published June 14, 2025 and June 21, 2025; bids will be opened on July 9, 2025.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1.The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2.The plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by referenceherein, are hereby approved.
3.The City Engineer shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper of the City andon QuestCDN an advertisement for bids for the making of the improvement pursuant to theattached plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published not less than 10 daysprior to the bid opening, shall specify the work to be done, and shall state that the bids will bereceived by the City of Prior Lake at 10:00 a.m. on July 9, 2025, at which time the bids will bepublicly read. Bids will then be tabulated and will be considered by the City Council at the July 22,
2025 City Council meeting. No bids will be considered unless filed before the deadline through
QuestCDN and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond, or certified checkpayable to the City of Prior Lake in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of such a bid.
4.The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason as determined solely by theCity Council.
Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 10th day of June, 2025.
