RESOLUTION 25-074 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2025 MISCELLANEOUS DRAINAGE PROJECT (2025-05) Motion By: Hellier Second By: Churchill
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 24-088, adopted on August 27, 2024, the city received plans and specifications for the 2025 Miscellaneous Drainage Project (2025-05), and quotes were requested on April 16, 2025 with quotes due on May 6, 2025 at 10:00
a.m.; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received, opened, and tabulated according to law:
Contractor Quote
Minger Construction Companies, Inc. $173,877.40 Kusske Construction Company, LLC $294,480.00 ; and WHEREAS, the city’s consulting engineer, WSB LLC has provided a recommendation letter to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Minger Construction Companies, Inc. in the amount of $173,877.40.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The quotes and tabulation worksheet, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated
by reference herein, are hereby received.
3. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a contract with Minger Construction Companies, Inc. in the amount of $173,877.40.
4. The total cost for this project is $208,877.40 (including overhead) and will be funded as follows:
• $150,000 from the 2025 CIP
• $58,877.40 from the Stormwater Utility Fund 602-49420.00-54010.71 Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 10th day of June 2025. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier
