A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY FROM RANDY LANGHORST

WHEREAS, Randy Langhorst ("Property Owner") is the owner of real property in the City of Prior
Lake legally described as:
That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (SE ¼ of NE ¼) of Section 2, Township 114, Range 22, lying Southerly of Langhorst pt Addition
and Westerly of the Westerly right-of-way of T. H. No. 13, all in Scott County,
Minnesota. (Parcel ID 259020730) (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, Property Owner desires to sell the Property; and
WHEREAS, the Property is being offered for purchase at a cost of $15,000 with no restrictions on
its use; and
WHEREAS, the Prior Lake City Council considered the acquisition of real property on June 24,
2025; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the purchase and authorized city staff to complete the necessary documentation and recording procedures.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE,
MINNESOTA as follows:
1.The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.2.The City Council approves the acquisition of the Property.3.The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all necessary documents and take appropriate
steps to acquire the Property.4.The City Council finds the acquisition of this Property to be iri the' public interest.5.The acquisition of the Property by the City of Prior Lake has no relationship to the Comprehensive
Plan, and as such does not require Planning Commission review pursuant to Minn. Stat. 462.356,Subd. 2.
6.The acquisition price and related recording fees will come from the 2025 Community Development
Land Account fund (101-41910.00-55510.00)
Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 24th day of June 2025.
