RESOLUTION 25-111 A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE FEASIBILITY REPORT, ORDER THE PUBLIC HEARING, AND AUTHORIZE A WORK ORDER FOR THE NORTHWOOD ROAD AREA PROJECT (2026-01, 2027-01, 2028-02) Motion By: Lake Second By: Hellier
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 24-081 approved on August 14, 2024 the City Council ordered a feasibility report to be prepared under the direction of the City
Engineer with reference to the Northwood Road Area Project; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS,
the feasibility report for the Northwood Road Area Project dated August 2025
contains information that the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible; and Bolton & Menk, a member of the City’s consultant pool, has submitted a proposal in the amount of $1,516,412 to provide services that include project management, design, bidding services and construction administration and observation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The City Council hereby accepts the feasibility report as submitted. 3. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets and areas in accordance with the
feasibility report and the assessment of property as described in the report for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of $19,058,000 for the 3-year project.
4. The City Council approves a work order with with Bolton & Menk, for the Northwood Road Area Project (2026-01, 2027-01, 2028-02) for the services described in the report. 5. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on September 23, 2025 at
Prior Lake City Hall, 4646 Dakota Street SE, City of Prior Lake, Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. Statutory notice and publication requirements shall be followed. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 26th day of August 2025. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier
