RESOLUTION 25-114 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF DEHUMIDIFYING EQUIPMENT FOR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT Motion By: Lake Second By: Hellier
WHEREAS, eliminating condensation and keeping the air dry at the Water Treatment Plant is critical to maximizing the lifespan of the plant infrastructure; and WHEREAS, the current dehumidifiers are from the original construction of the water treatment plant in 2008 and have reached their expected replacement interval; and
WHEREAS, staff solicited the following quotes to replace the dehumidifying equipment: Company Quote
Sylvane $54,735
Growershouse $65,099
Ferguson No estimate provided
and WHEREAS, staff recommend Council approval to purchase the dehumidifying equipment
from Sylvane in the total amount of $54,735; and WHEREAS, the Water Utility Fund has adequate funding for this purchase. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of the dehumidifying equipment for the Water Treatment Plant in the amount of $54,735. 3. Funding for this project shall come from the Water Utility fund 601-49400.00-55520.00.
