AGENDA ITEM: Life Saving Presentation
BACKGROUND:
In April of 2020, Prior Lake Police and Fire personnel responded to assist Scott County Sheriff’s
office with an injury crash reported at CR21 and Natchez. Upon arrival it was discovered that 2
persons in one of the involved vehicles had passed away. A 3rd subject in that car, a juvenile,
was extricated by PLFD Fire Chief Steinhaus and with the assistance of PLPD Officer Cody
Steinhaus, Allina paramedics and an Allina Doctor, that juvenile male was transported to the
hospital with life threatening injuries. Through the medical intervention at the scene and hospital,
that juvenile survived. We will be presenting Fire Chief Rick Steinhaus, Detective Cody Steinhaus
and Doctor Stevens life-saving awards for their efforts contributing to this outcome.
