RESOLUTION 26-075 A RESOLUTION TO RECEIVE A QUOTE AND AWARD A CONTRACT FOR PUMP UPGRADES AT THE SUMMIT BOOSTER STATION (2025-12) Motion By: Lake Second By: Churchill
WHEREAS, city staff executed a work order with Bolton & Menk Inc. (BMI) on April 14, 2025, to conduct an evaluation of the Summit booster station, which is one of two booster stations that help regulate water pressure in certain areas of the city;
and WHEREAS, BMI provided the city with a report of recommendations in June 2025, which includes specific recommendations to upgrade the smallest pump to ensure the booster station has sufficient capacity to support future development; and WHEREAS, W.W. Goetsch Associates, Inc. has provided a quote in the amount of $27,691 to provide and install the new piping and pump at the Summit booster station; and WHEREAS, Staff recommend awarding the contract to W.W. Goetsch Associates, Inc. to maintain consistency, continuity, and efficiency for this critically important function of the water supply system. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The City Council authorizes a contract with W.W. Goetsch Associates, Inc. in the amount of $27,691 for pump upgrades at Summit booster station.
3. Funding will come from the Water Utility Fund (601-49400.00-55570.00).
