I) .7 ll..1.4 Wilds Ridge Court - ;-:::.:. ~ ~ -..:::. \ '-l '-- Prior Lake, MN Commission No. 94138 ~~~ 1'-1 ~~ . --~ DATE: 10/19/94 The purpose of this memorandum is to report the findings of an engineering review with respect to a footing edge condition for this residence under construction. BACK~RQUND The footing under the common wall between the garage and house vias placed such that foundation wall has an edge distance of 1 ,. between the actual location of the footing and the actual location of the foundation wall. The City of Prior Lake Building Inspections Department desires an engineering review of this condition. ENGINEERIN~ REVIEW 1. The foundation wall is an 8" wide cast-in-place concrete. The footing is a standard 81!x161J footing. 2. A structural engineering analysis of the conditions determined that the foundation wall is adequate under these condit.ions. 3. Although there is an eccentricity on the footing, the footing construction is adequate, 4. This eccentricity generates a maximum soil bearing pressure on the footing of less than 1,500 PSF which is within normal limits for residential construction. 2305 Commerce Boulevard Mound.
