RE: Home Occupation Permit
Dear Charlotte;
Attached is a handout used to describe Home Occupation Application procedures. The
city has received all of the necessary items except item #3 a written description of the
proposed home occupation. We would like to know the following:
What type of business you will be conducting?
Where will the materials/equipment be stored?
Will the home occupation will involve warehousing, distribution, or retail sales of
items?
Are there any hired employees?
Is there proposed signage?
The written description should address items A-H on the attached handout. Once the
Planning Department receives this information, then we can begin review of your
application. Please call me if you have any questions.

The Planning Department has reviewed your application for Home Occupation Permit.
Based on the information submitted, it appears that you will meet the criteria for granting
a permit. Therefore, this letter serves as your approval to conduct the proposed home
occupation as you have described in the application.
Should you significantly modify your home business or under take in any additional
businesses you must apply for another Home Occupation Permit. If at any time you are
not in compliance with the criteria of Home Occupations, then corrective measures will
be taken by the city to ensure compliance.
