October 16, 2012
The Lake Advisory Committee (LAC) Meeting was called to order at 4:41 P.M.
Members present: Donna Mankowski (Chair), Char Jasan, J. Allen Nemecek, James
Streefland, Tom Voll, and Liz Weninger Members Absent: Theresa Feldman
Others present: Pete Young (City Water Resources Engineer), Katy Gehler (City Public
Works and Natural Resources Director), Dave Rech (Prior Lake resident)
CALL TO ORDER
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Weninger stated that she should be referred to as "vice
chair" instead of "co- chair" in the May 15, 2012 LAC minutes. Weninger made a
motion to approve the May 15, 2012 LAC minutes. Streefland seconded the motion.
All ayes to approve the May 15, 2012 LAC minutes.
III. OLD BUSINESS
1. Boat Tour Review (8/28/12) — Mankowski presented information about the boat
tour that took place on August 28, 2012. Three boats with over 20 people
toured of north end of Prior Lake.
IV. OTHER BUSINESS
1. Election of LAC Officers — Mankowski: Opened the floor for nominations for
chair of the LAC. Weninger: nominated Tom Voll. Nemecek second. Vote 5 -0
(Volt abstained). Carried. Voll: Thanked the other LAC members and stated that
Mankowski did a great job as chair. The new vice -chair should be willing to meet
the required time commitment. Nemecek nominated Char Jasan. Streefland
second. Vote 5 -0. Carried.
2. New and Reappointed LAC Members — Young: LAC terms start on November 1.
There are two vacancies due to terms expiring. Streefland reapplied and was
accepted. Welcome to Dave Rech, who was recently appointed.
V. STAFF UPDATE
1. Thank you to Donna Mankowski — Mankowski was thanked for her years of
service as part of the LAC.
2. Workshop Results — Notes were reviewed from the 9/18/12 LAC workshop. The
group covered wide range of local issues and broad LAC goals.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
1. 2013 LAC Agenda —The members discussed the meeting agenda for 2013. Staff
will draft a schedule and present it to the group.

VII. ADJOURNMENT— Mankowski made a motion to adjourn the October 16, 2012 LAC
Meeting. Jasan seconded. All ayes to adjourn the meeting.
