Home My WebLink About87-0083 CI TV OF PRIOR LAKE ORDINANCE "NO.'.87 - �J AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY OF PRIOR LAKE ZONING ORDINANCE SECTIONS 5, 6' AND 8, ; _AND PRIOR.LAKE CITY CODE SECTIONS 5 -4, 5 -5 AND 5 - -1: The Council of the City of Prior Lake does hereby ordain: sectiibn 5 of the Prior Lak Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended by adding Section •5.2 to read as `follows: , - 5.2 TOORS_WITH ANTENNA: > (A) erection of a tower with antenna requires a ^ building permit. The antenna on an existing tower may be changed or altered without.a permit, (B) rThe City of Prior Lake shall be exempt from this• section. (C) The mikimumt height of a tower with antenna shall be seventy -five (75) feet. However, a tower with antenna r cannot be :,ir. excess of , a height equal l'to the distance: from the.base of the tower to the nearest overhsiA a� electrical power line which serves °more than one ^ {: dwelling or place o! business, less five (3) feet. In the case,;of an extendable tower, the retracted height =° Of the tower shall be considered its height for p urposes of this ordinance. (D) The minimum setback from any property line and the 904 contour lane shall be equal to one - half =the height of the tower with antenna measured from the base to its' r ,,highest point. A tower with antenna is located at least two hundred fifty (150) feet from the centerline of a public road. J 3 2. The tower and antenna has setbacks equal to one -half the height measured from-the base to its ° highest point,. Section 5 -4 of Prior Lake City Code is hereby amended by adding a- 1 Section 5 -4 -4 to read as follows: 5 -4 -4: TOWERS WITH ANTENNA.: �Jl (A)- The erection of a tower with antenna requires a building permit. (C) The maximum height limit if constructo in the ground shall be twenty (20) feet. (D) Existing dishes on the effective dayy of this ordinance which are not in compliance with this section shall J become legal non- conforming uses and comply with section 6.,1 of the Zonnq Ordinance. F (E) Receiving antennae used by the City of Prior Lake and public utilities are exempt from this section. {F) Receiving antennae of less than 1.5 maters in diameter are exempt from this section. (G) Receiving antennae shall, not be constructed in any required'setback area for any district.
