HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-26 Body Art Summary 16200 Eagle Creek Avenue S,E, Prior Lake, MN 55372-1714 CITY OF PRIOR LAKE A SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE 04-26 FOR PUBLICATION PURPOSES ADOPTING SECTION 309 OF PRIOR LAKE CITY CODE REGULATING THE OPERATION OF BODY ARY ESTABLISHMENTS At its October 4, 2004 meeting, the Prior Lake City Council adopted Ordinance 04-XX regulating the operation of body art establishments, In summary, the ordinance provides as follows: 1, The purpose of the ordinance is to set forth regulations for the operation of body art establishments in order to protect the general health, safety and welfare of the Prior Lake community, 2, The ordinance provides for licensing requirements and the procedures for obtaining a license for the operation of a body art establishment. 3, The ordinance restricts the location of body art establishments to the C-3 and C-4 zoning districts, and sets forth other standards for eligible locations, 4, The ordinance sets forth health and sanitation standards for operation of a body art business, 5, The ordinance also provides for license suspension and penalties for violation of the provisions of the ordinance, A full copy of the ordinance is available by contacting Prior Lake City Hall at 952.447.4230, or by visiting the City's web site at www.citvofpriorlake.com.
