Devitt - Secretary SUBJECT: Minutes from 74-2 Meeting The Park Board held meeting 74-2 at the Village Hall on March 5, 1974 at 8:00 P.M. Members present - Devitt, Kalton, Patchin, Williams Guests - M. McGuire, C. Tooker 1. Kop Property With the exercise of the Kop opti~ncoming due on June 1, 1974, it was agreed that Mike McGuire should review costs for erecting a fence around the North and West ends of Kop property adjacent to the park. Plus posting of ~NO TRESPASSINGe signs. 2. Pearson Property (a) Williams informed the board that W. G. Pearson was having his property appraised. (b) M/S/P - Williams/Kalton - that Patchin contact C. R. Pelton of St. Paul to have Pearson property appraised (including relocating of buildings and equipment). 3. Park Development Plans {a) Tooker presented first draft of plans for development of park properties. {b) M/S/P - Kalton/Williams - that the Park Board go be- fore the City Council on March 18 to: (1) present park development plans; (2) obtain per- mission to continue park land acquisition; and (3) obtain permission to proceed with a presenta- tion to the public on initial development plans at 8:00 P.M. on April 9th at the Jr. High School. Cc) M. McGuire to (1) get Park Board on Council agenda for March 18 at 8:30 P.M.; and {2) if presentation to public is approved, publish hearing notices in local papers. Park Board Members~'' P. R. Devitt March 11, 1974 Page Two (d) Kalton to (1) to reproduce and pass out information sheets announcing the public hearing on the park development. Estimated cost $10.00; (2) schedule Jr. High School facilities for public hearing on April 9th at 8:00 P.M.; and (3) have 8 1/2 x 11 copies of park development plans available for handout at hearing on April 9th. (e) Tooker to send to Kal ton an 8 1/2 x 11 copy of park development plans so a copy can be made for an over- head projector. Williams suggested and it was accepted that a park advisory committee be appointed following the hearing. 4. M/S/P - Patchin/Devitt A partial payment of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) be made to C. Tooker for services rendered. 5. Personal Liability M. McGuire to find out what our liability responsiblities are in relation to the Lakefront Community Park and any other neighborhood parks, 6.
