LAKES ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
October 29, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 4:30 pm. Present were LAC Vice-Chair Jasan, LAC members
Rech, Streefland, and Weninger, City Water Resources Engineer Young, City Council Member
McGuire, and resident Donna Mankowski.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MOTION BY STREEFLAND, SECONDED BY RECH, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 18, 2013
LAC MEETING AS PRESENTED.
VOTE: Ayes by Jasan, Rech, Weninger, and Streefland. The motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Community Outreach Opportunities
Water Resources Engineer Young presented the agenda report. In addition to the listed items,
other opportunities through the Prior Lake Association and Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed
District were noted. Presentation item only, no votes were taken.
Final Review of Proposed Updated Bylaws
Water Resources Engineer Young presented the agenda report. Presentation item only, no votes
were taken.
OTHER BUSINESS
Member Rech provided an update on potential Boy Scouts volunteer projects.
STAFF UPDATE
City Planning Commission Update
Water Resources Engineer Young presented the agenda report. Updates were provided on recent
Planning Commission decisions. LAC Members were encouraged to attend Planning Commission
meetings to provide comments. Any comments would not represent the views of the LAC as a
whole. Resident Donna Mankowski provided comments about the City’s marina ordinance and
the planning commission meeting of 10/15/1987. Presentation item only, no votes were taken.
PLSLWD & SWMO Update
Water Resources Engineer Young presented the agenda report. Ongoing projects, initiatives, and
collaborative efforts were highlighted. Presentation item only, no votes were taken.
NEW BUSINESS
MS4 SWPPP Rewrite Update
Water Resources Engineer Young presented the agenda report. Presentation item only, no votes
were taken.
Annual Advisory Committee Report to the City Council
Water Resources Engineer Young presented the agenda report. There will be a meeting for all
City advisory committees on November 25, 2013, at 5:00 pm. LAC accomplishments and 2014
goals will be discussed. Staff requested input from LAC members on the accomplishments and
goals. Presentation item only, no votes were taken.

ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made by Member Rech and seconded by Member Streefland. With all
in favor, the meeting adjourned at 6:38 pm.
