1. Eagle Brook Park
See attached notes from 5/12 neighborhood meeting.
Kelly, Kendall, Ken and Steve all agreed that the layout was good based on the results of the amenity
rankings. The next neighborhood meeting will be 6/2 at City Hall with a more detailed layout with
specific amenities included. PAC members will be in attendance at the next neighborhood meeting to
address questions or concerns.
From there we will do an RFP for the play structure, bring the final layout back to the PAC in June then
present to the city council for approval in July. The plan is to have the park completed before 11/1/16.
3. Neighborhood Park Parties Update The PAC will hand out seeds and bee headbands to the kids at the
park parties. They will also plant 1 tree at each park. This will give them more opportunity to engage
attendees about parks, trails, etc.
4. Memorial at Lakefront Park
Kelly Meyer’s family donated $2,000 for additional enhancements or improvements for the memorial
area on top of the hill at Lakefront Park.
Katy suggested using that money to improve the trail/walkway going up the hill.
Kendall suggested a structure of some sort be built on top of the hill so people know it’s up there. He
liked the idea of a couple pergolas, with arches/over hangs, in the corners for shade. The rest of the
PAC agreed with this idea and to improve the trail.
I will bring back the suggested idea to Greg Skluzacek and Katy Gehlar.
The PAC will try to come up with a name for this area and bring those suggestions to the June PAC
meeting.
5. The next PAC meeting will be June 16, 6p.m. in Wagon Bridge Conf. Room
