neighborhood as well as the greater
community, given it’s location in one
of the City’s busiest parks.
•Playground continues to pass safety
inspections, however it is over 20
years old, and in need of several
repairs.
•Several elements have been removed
in recent years

Background and Timeline

For the last year and a half, city staff have worked with HKGI to create the Lakefront Park Master Plan document to
guide improvements and develop a community vision for the future of Lakefront Park. The process has included
assembling and engaging an advisory committee to help steer the project and offer input. In addition, the city also
sought input from the public through various forms of community engagement.
