HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-09 RESOLUTION 89-09 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ON DOWNTOWN STREET IMPROVEMENT (PROJECT 89-11) MOTIONED BY FITZGERALD SECONDED BY SCOTT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 88-59, which the Cit~ Council adopted on November 21, 1988, the City Englneer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of the following streets: 1. Anna Trail from Duluth Avenue to Duluth Avenue. 2. Arcadia Avenue from Colorado Street to Dakota Street. 3. Cambridge Circle from Dakota Street to North plat line of Prior Acres, 2nd and 3rd Additions. 4. Colorado Street from West Avenue to Main Avenue. 5. Dakota Street from West Avenue to Main Avenue. 6. Duluth Avenue from Colorado Street to Pleasant Street. 7. West Avenue from County State Aid Highway 21 to North terminus. 8. Fish Point Road/Trunk Highway 13 Intersection improvements. 9. CSAH 2l from Main Avenue to 2,000 feet of East of Franklin Trail. 10. CSAH 21 from County Road 83 to Quincy Street. by the installation of bituminous surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, sidewalk, and appurtenant work; and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA, that: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of hereof, are hereby approved. 4629 Dakota St. SE, Prior Lake, Minnesota 55372 / Ph, (612) 447-4230 / Fax (612) 447-4245 2. The city Manager shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published not less than 2l days prior to bid opening, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened, and that all bids will be received by the City until 10:00 A.M. on June 14, 1989, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the city Hall by the City Engineer. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Manager and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Prior Lake for 5 per cent of the amount of such bid.
